Shazam and holey moley -- lightning strikes twice as Billy Batson shares a magical moment with his super alter-ego, Captain Marvel, in a delightful full-color specialty piece that must surely rank among C. C. Beck's finest efforts. This thrilling scene was based on a cover scene that appeared on the cover of <B>Whiz Comics</B></I> #22, back in 1941. For modern fans who may not know, Captain Marvel was the biggest-selling comic character of the Golden Age, and for many fans, no one has yet equaled the quirky charm of the character, as portrayed by writer Otto Binder and artist C. C. Beck. The image area of this marvelous masterpiece measures 11" x 15.5", and the art is in Excellent condition. Signed by C. C.
