This is a fantastic circa 1970's vintage pawn sterling silver Navajo pendant having a large size with dimensional multiple stone inlay of the Apache Gan Dancer and is signed by Navajo master silversmiths, Betty and Ernest Shirley. The hallmark / signature shows their classic "(backwards) B E / S (with crescent and stamping)". The necklace is on a wonderful Navajo Pearl concho / concha sterling silver strand with silver chain link strand also from circa 1970's. The necklace shows a man multi inlay with turquoise, onyx, amber, and red branch coral all set to a backdrop of mother of pearl. The Apache Gaan Dancer is also referred to as the Mountain Spirit / Crown Dance / Devil Dance. The condition of this Navajo necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 24 1/2" and the pendant measures 3 3/8" x 2 1/2". The collective weight of the necklace is 100.2g.
