The lot features three circa 1950’s Inuit Eskimo Seal Skin and Caribou hide dolls. The dolls are crafted from thread sewn trade clothe and Indian tanned Caribou hides with clothing in Seal Skin, White Fox fur, Rabbit fur and a woven seal fur jacket. There is one carved wooden and painted face, one Indian tanned Caribou hide and black yarn facial features head and one processed fur fabric or wool face with sewn features wrapped in Indian Caribou hide hood. Two of the dolls have Seal Skin Mukluk moccasin high top boots. Two of the dolls have glass trade seed beaded features as well. Provenance: Collected in the 1950-1960’s by the consignors family well traveling throughout the America’s collecting at Trading Posts. The condition of this collection of Inuit dolls is good with only slight wear to the hide of one of the dolls but otherwise is in good overall preserved condition. The measurements of this collection of dolls ranges from 7 3/4" x 4 5/8" x 2 1/8" to 8 3/4" x 3 5/8". The collective weight of these dolls is 6oz. Some slight fur loss.
