The lot features two sets of circa 1950's polychrome painted pottery salt and pepper shakers both sets signed by the Acoma Pueblo Native American Indians from the Sundog Bruce VanLandingham collection. The first set shows two egg like shape on a pedestal showing paint in red / brown, cream / white and dark brown with classic Acoma geometric painted design and signed on the bottom, "ACOMA" as well as an original collection tag marked, "01.07.45". Next shows two bird shape form salt and pepper shakers also with classic Acoma poluchrome paint in red, white / cream and dark brown, signed, "Acoma, N. Mex." and one having a collection tag marked, "ACOMA 00.07.10". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce was also the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery, this piece is directly from the collection. Bird set are each 3.75"H by 2.25"W by 1.75". The egg shaped ones measure each 3"H by 2" Diameter.
