Featured in this lot is this Plains Indians horn and wooden frontier beaded utensil spoons circa 1930's. There are two spoons in this collection. The first shows a smaller buffalo horn spoon with a leather wrapped decoration with trade seed beads of translucent red, and yellow coloration that shows copper aglets attached to the fringe and attributed to the Plains Indians. The second spin is a solid hard wood design with a large basin and a straight handle with a trade bead attached to the handle and is attributed to a frontier trade spoon. The condition of this pair of spoons is preserved with some wear to the buffalo horn spoon and shows slight wear to the wooden spoon but otherwise shows a preserved condition. The measurements of these spoons is 14" x 1 1/2" and 14 1/2" x 3 3/8". The collective weight of this pair of spoons is 4oz.
