For your consideration is this circa 1930-1949 Montana Secondary Highway 291 sign. The 291 secondary highway was renamed Montana Highway 85 after 1977, and is the stretch of road between Belgrade and Four Corners heading North and South bound. The sign is marked that it was donated to the Buckhorn in 1949 by Gene Erbetta. The sign shows an arrowhead design, a common symbol used in Montana to inform drivers that the road is a secondary highway. It reads, "Montana 291 Secondary" in gray lettering. The sign shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years. Scratching is noted throughout. No major signs of damage is noted. The sign measures 24" L x 18" W and weighs 3 pounds and 2 ounces.
