C. 1930-1940 Navajo Klagetoh Room Sized Rug (12ft)
This is a circa 1930-1940 Navajo Klagetoh Trading Post Rug of a massive and impressive 12 foot room size. The rug is in original tightly hand-woven good condition showing a black border with stepped hooks in cream and black having a central background of grey with a large central diamond medallion or motif done in black, cream and browns having a cross at the center. Truly a stunning room sized rug.

Juan Lorenzo Hubbell was a leading trader in the early Navajo rug period who owned several trading post on the Navajo reservation most notably at Ganado, AZ and Klagetoh, AZ. While Ganado region rugs are more well-known, rugs woven at Klagetoh are some of the most popular and desirable of all Navajo rug patterns. Klagetoh rugs typically have a grey backgrounds with large central diamond motif often found in red, black, and white.

Condition: The rug is well kept in original condition with all four corners having indigo and red yarns at the corners and edge. The rug could use a cleaning but is overall well kept. Measures 12 foot 4 inches in length by 7 foot 3 inches wide (this measurement does not include tassels).
