C. 1920'S WINNEBAGOS NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN SWING-HANDLE MARKET BASKET - Nicely woven small sized splint ash Great Lakes berry basket with bentwood swing handle and bentwood rim. Ends of handle pierced and woven back together to create swing handle. Whittled pins hold the handle in place. Symmetrical shaped with herringbone weave on the base. The handle still has faint pencilled sales price of 85 cents. Approx. 8" diameter handle to handle by 5" deep when handle is down. Some small splint pieces missing on sides. Handle slightly warped but not cracked or broken.
