C. 1850's cased Joseph Lang percussion cane gun Beautifully cased, brought back from Europe after WW
Beautifully cased, brought back from Europe after WWll in 1944 by Elmer Clayton. Can gun includes 2 barrels, one smooth bore and one rifled with original faux wood finish over steel. Rifled barrel with fixed rear sight. Action functions by pulling back the handle, folding trigger drops down and cocks with combination capper tool which functions perfectly. Original mahogany case retains original green baize with all accoutrements including brass powder flask, leather shot flask, 2 was cutters, oiler, brass and rosewood cleaning rods, Goldmarks percussion cap tin, rosewood cleaning handled nipple wrench and steel bullet mold stamped No. 49. Interior on the lid features original Lang paper label, top of firing mechanism with hand chisel engraved "Patent J Lang 7 Haymarket London 38N. Cane gun measures 36" long with barrel attached. Mahogany case show residue from old tape on both ends, overall case measures 27" X 6" X 2 1/2". No FFL required.
