Featured in this lot are several Western and Native American Indian glass negatives of various photographs circa 1850-1920. There are seven total glass negatives in this collection. The first is a negative of a portrait of Ninigret from 1637 who saved the life of Governer John Winthrop. The second is a still photograph of a man in a travelling suit posing on a riverboat. The next two are stills of a man dressed up as Uncle Sam with a poster of Theodore Roosevelt from 1905 in the backdrop. The next is a still of a dredging boat with "West Coast Dredging Co." on the side of the boat. The next is a still photograph of the sand flats of Alameda. The last is a still of Strawberry Lake in Golden Gate Park. The condition of this collection of glass negatives is well preserved with some wear to the negative but the picture comes through clear. The measurements of these glass negatives is 5" x 4".
