Christ seated facing on backless throne, wearing nimbus cr., raising r. hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels, regnal date A (= year 1) in field to r. Rev. Facing stg. figures of Theodore, on l., and the Virgin, nimbate, on r., the emperor wearing divitision and loros and holding labarum and akakia, the Virgin crowning the emperor with her r. hand.
