Beardless bust of youthful Christ Emmanuel facing, wearing nimbus cr. and holding scroll in l. hand. Rev. Crowned figure of John stg. facing, wearing divitision, jeweled loros and sagion and holding labarum and akakia, manus Dei in upper field to r. DOC 26; Hendy pl. 32, 13; Sear-Bendall 2080. Good very fine, toned and extremely rare, possibly only the second known specimen (the Dumbarton Oaks piece doubly pierced).
