Byrd's Chief Engineer Thomas B. Mulroy Archive of Personal Correspondence consisting of several dozen letters, notices, and bulletins dating from 1931-1933. Includes four Typed Letters Signed of Richard E. Byrd all featuring different forms of his signature, "Dick Byrd", "R E Byrd", "Byrd", and "REB". Many of the letters are on the letterhead of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition II; Mulroy was acting on their behalf in obtaining donated supplies and services for the second Antarctic mission. These letters offer a fascinating look into the inner workings of Byrd's organization as they prepared to make another of their non-government sponsored expeditions. Generally fine condition.
