Detachable, fancy presentation piece. Constructed of steel with a copper heart design on back of handle. 11" long. Other design features include silver plating ahead of handle, pick, shovel and hammer design in handle and silver anvil on hook-thimble assembly. Double hook stand-off. A beautiful example of the blacksmith`s skill, with several parts attached by dove-tailing. "This piece is said to be presented to Harry Tembly of the Anaconda Company at Butte, Montana in 1914. The copper heart inset into the handle seems to have been the signature or trademark of a Butte blacksmith (name unknown); a number of other candlesticks from Butte have the same feature."
