Set of 5 cabinet photos. Each measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/4." Five different views of mining scenes along the river. Miners are moving the river so that they can mine the river bed, including installing a flume to redirect the water. This is most likely the Feather River. Great look at a feat of mining engineering at the turn of the century! Condition: soiling and possible water damage, most noticeable on the backs of the photos. Some photos have scratches. Even with damage, photos are still very presentable and tell an interesting story.
