A beautiful wool weaving in soft colors of gold, tan, orange, aqua, blue, purple and natural, measuring 38 x 63.” Weaver: Alice M. Mann. Burnt Water rugs are woven in the vegetal dyed colors favored by the weavers of the Wide Ruins and Pine Springs areas south of Ganado, AZ. They are noted for their warm, rich colors, such as brown, sienna, mustard, and rust, with other pale colors such as rose, green, blue, lilac and white—as seen in this design. Because these weavings incorporate elaborate designs and a multitude of colors, they are relatively rare [www.rugtrader.com/styles/burntw.htm]. This rug was purchased at the Cameron Trading Post in 2000. Condition is excellent. Fairbanks Collection - HKA#65404
