Description: For your consideration we offer for sale this Split Horn Ermine Bonnet, that, according to artist George Catlin, who visited the Tribes in 1834, was "worn only by the bravest of the brave; by the most extraordinary men in the nation”. This Bonnet features dyed feathers, intricate bead work, brass tacks, other buttons and ermine fur accents. It comes with the stand and is a really nice presentation piece. Maker: Unknown. Approx. Age: 20th Century. Size: 8”w x 30” long. Condition: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description.
