Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show trunk made from par fleshe (Indian painted hide), with steer hide accents. Approx. 30” in width by 11” deep, nicely stitched and well made and very showy in the Wild West tradition. A 1968Billings Gazette article pictures this truck. Caption reads in summary ‘the trunk belonged to the Grainger family who operated the new Yellowstone hotel and antique shop in Laurel, MT, and were well known collectors of WildWest memorabilia in the early years’.
