Williamsburg Firearms Manufactory for the U.S. Historical Society Williamsburg Firearms Manufactory for the U.S. Historical Society Serial #348 Markings: The bottom of the frame is marked with a proof mark and ?348?. The bottom of the barrel is marked ?Black Powder Only?. The sides of the barrel are painted ?William F. Cody? and painted with decorative western scenes and scrollwork. The cylinder is painted with gold colored scrollwork and decorative nature scenes. The frame is also painted with gold nature/western scenes. Barrel Length: 8? The front sight is a fixed blade. The rear sight is a notch in the hammer. The grip is simulated ivory. There are handling marks on the right grip base. The grips rate in about Fine to Excellent overall condition. Blue and Gold Colored Trigger Guard and Grip Frame The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition. The action functions correctly. This revolver comes with a gold-tooled walnut case, powder flask, bullet mold, screwdriver/nipple wrench, percussion caps and cap box. The wood case has a leather decorative insert on the lid, and on the inside of the lid is a tag that is engraved with ?Buffalo Bill Centennial Presentation Authorized by United States Historical Society?. There are a few light handling marks on the leather and the surfaces of the case. The interior of the case is lined with green velvet that is padded and molded to fit the revolver and accessories; it is in excellent condition. The case has a lock, and the key is included. The case is in Very Good overall condition.The caps and the cap container are in Fine to Excellent overall condition. Four of the six lead balls are lightly coated with a surface discoloration; the lead balls are in Fine overall condition. CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This BATF classified Antique percussion revolver CAN be sold to anyone 18 years of age with valid ID. All cartridge firing handguns (even C&R's and antiques) sold to a California resident must be DROS'd. This does not apply to out of state residents.
