This is a hand carved original Meerschaum Pipe showing the bust of Buffalo Bill Cody. The piece is from circa 1890's and shows exquisite details. William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody (1846–1917) was one of the most colorful figures of the American West and founder of the famed Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The piece is American Carved showing fantastic detail and quality. The piece is not signed. The meerschaum shows a crack in the pipe stem connection as shown, but other than that is in good condition. Measures overall 5 1/8"L x 2"H x 1.25"D with a approx. 1/2" bowl.
