Scarce official participation medal issued for the First Pan American Games, which were held in Buenos Aires in 1951. Bronze, 85 gm, 63 mm. The front depicts the profiles of Argentinean President and First Lady Juan and Eva Peron encircled by the text: “Presidentes Honorarios, Exmo. Sr. Presidente de La Nacion Gral. Ej. Juan Peron–Sra. Eva Peron.” The reverse shows the Western Hemisphere with surrounding text: “Primeros Juegos Deportivos Panamericanos, Buenos Aires 1951.”
