Vintage glossy 8 x 10 Coral Records publicity photo of Buddy Holly and the Crickets, signed in blue ballpoint by Holly. Light skipping to signature, some staining and finish loss to left side, small tear to top edge, small mounting remnants to reverse, and scattered creases and surface marks, otherwise very good condition. Accompanied by a David H. Booker Attractions press sheet introducing the Crickets.

Between 1957 until his tragic death in 1959, Holly had a relentless touring schedule in support of his only Coral album release, which included the legendary cuts ‘Peggy Sue’ and ‘Everyday.’ His schedule took him to Kansas City—twice—once in November 1957 and again in April 1958. Booker, a Kansas City promoter and booking agent, handled publicity for the concerts, and it was from his estate that this magnificent image originates. Holly is notoriously rare in signed photographs; this is an unusual example from the peak of his brief but illustrious career.
