Buddy Ebsen's Tap Shoes
Buddy Ebsen's Tap Shoes. As a child, Buddy Ebsen and his sisters learned to dance at a studio run by his father in Orlando, Florida. Interested in a medical career, attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, until financial problems forced him to drop out. He was able to make it as a vaudeville dancer, however, and was able to parlay that into roles on Broadway and eventually musical films of the 1930s in what would become a monumental career. Although he's primarily remembered as an actor, Ebsen was a song-and-dance man in his heart. He used this pair of tap shoes during later portions of his career, in film and during public appearances. The brown-and-white leather shoes feature steel taps in the heels, wooden toe taps, and velcro flap closures, and are in Fine to Very Fine condition with a modest amount of wear from regular use, but still sturdy. From the Buddy Ebsen Estate.

Shipping: Clothing, Costumes & Jerseys (view shipping information)
