<B>Buddy Ebsen's "Jed Clampett" Costume Hat.</B></I> Buddy Ebsen gave memorable performances on the stage and in such movies and TV shows as <I>Breakfast at Tiffany's,</B></I> <I>Barnaby Jones,</B></I> the <I>Davy Crockett</B></I> TV movies, and <I>Northwest Passage,</B></I> but he will always be best known for his performance as "Jed Clampett" on the classic '60s sitcom <I>The Beverly Hillbillies.</B></I> Though he didn't have much book learnin', Jed made up for it in common sense and patience, and the character stands as one of the all-time great TV patriarchs. This grey felt hat was worn by Ebsen when he made public appearances in-character during his later years, the original having become too delicate to be used. It is in Very Fine to Excellent condition with most of the wear and soiling added to give it a suitably battered look.
