His hands show the gesture of touching the earth - the bhûmisparsa mudra. In this position his left hand is resting on his lap and his right hand points with outstretched fingers to the earth. Buddha used this gesture to call the earth to witness the truth of his words. The enlightened wears a simple robe, which leaves just the right shoulder bare. The face has a meditative expression and the main forms a semicircular ushnisha with a pointy ketumala. The distinct beautiful malachite patina completes the presentation.

The bronze is in good condition with usual signs of age and wear. Scratches, nicks and minimal loss of material at the lower area can be seen. The height measures 38 cm and the width is 25 cm. (lvp)
