The right leg is placed on the left leg and both feet are turned skywards. The deity is holding a bell, namedghanta, and a thunderbolt, called vajra, in his hands. Ghanta and vajra are considered the most important elements of Vajrayana Buddhism and they embody male and female nature, method and wisdom. Together they are the symbol that shows the path to enlightenment. The deity's body is adorned with precious jewelry in relief. The face has a meditative, serene expression and his long earlobes reach down to his shoulders and underline Buddha’s grace. The head is adorned with a crown and a pointed ushnisha. The beautiful distinctive patina gives the figure a particular aesthetic.
