Original hand-inked four-panel Mutt and Jeff comic strip on an off-white 29.5 x 9 sheet of artist’s cardstock, signed in the last panel with a stylized signature, “Fisher,” as well as his typical one, “With best wishes, Bud Fisher.” Strip depicts Jeff and Mutt after a late night out and bears an affixed 1928 copyright notice at the bottom. Framed to an overall size of 31.5 x 11. In very good condition, with two vertical folds, a uniform shade of toning, light scattered foxing and soiling, a few stray drops of white ink, and a couple areas of dampstaining. Oversized.
