Original hand-inked nine-panel Cicero’s Cat daily comic strip, dated May 23, 1948 on an off-white 24.75 x 11 piece of artist’s cardstock. Strip depicts the title feline’s late night rendezvous with an amorous suitor and the prying eyes of two inquisitive fish. Signed in black ink in the last panel, “Fisher.” Areas of adhesive staining, light soiling, some editorial notations, and faint show-through from an adhesive label affixed to the reverse, otherwise fine condition.
