Early original hand-inked 12-panel Mutt and Jeff Sunday comic strip on a 24.5 x 18 sheet of off-white artist’s cardstock, dated December 5, 1948. Strip depicts Mutt and Jeff trying to convince their football coach to give them a shot on the field, with Mutt telling tales of his college days. After a chance to get in the game, Mutt and Jeff leave battered and bruised. Signed in black ink on the last panel, “Fisher.” In fine condition, with several re-applied linen captions, and scattered light toning and soiling.
