Elegant and artistic silver mounted Mexican Bridle with historic Hollywood cowboy pedigree, acquired directly from the Buck Jones’ family in 1952. The crown piece is adorned with two rows of silver spots leading to a domed Peso concho sitting atop a silver scalloped washer. The cheek piece is adorned with dual wide silver thread separated by silver grommets. The cheeks then broaden to reveal an elaborate and opulent hanger with four domed spots leading to a stunning, oversized repousse floral scalloped concho. The original period bit has narrow rounded cheeks with a single flower silver concho. Reins chains attached to traditional closed fabric rein in natural being and black with burgundy and blue woven buttons. Fine condition, circa 1880s.
