Clip point blade, 8 1/8" long, with a sharpened clip. Left side of blade marked "BUCK BROTHER/ CAST STEEL". Bow-tie shaped brass cross guard, 2 1/2" long and 1" wide, with a steel collar and one piece wooden finger grooved handle. Two brass grip rivets, with three silver rivets on left side. One piece leather sheath, with belt loop on left. Consignor notes that knife was manufactured by Buck Bros., Worcester, Mass. and these type of knives were made exclusively for Massachusetts Civil War soldiers. OAL: 13 1/4".

Condition: Good with light spotting on blade. There is a chip out of the tip and the maker's stamp is partially legible. Cross guard is loose and bent, with verdigris. Handle is good, with some hairline cracks and minor wear. The sheath is very good, with some minor scuffing overall, the majority is at the tip.
