Brunswick Saloon Front and Back Bar. Quarter-sawn oak. Circa 1895-1905. Very Rare and beautiful serpentine front bar features fancy appliques, granite toe-kick and wraparound brass railing. Back Bar features massive oak columns adorned with cherubs and ornate carvings. All mirrors have 1 1/2 inch bevels and all of the hardware is original. The 'Crowning Glory' is an incredible stained and leaded glass canopy perfectly matched to the bar. Very few of these canopies have survived. The bar also has two Bradley and Hubbard brass sconces with antique hand-painted tulip shades. The lighting creates spectacular green hues and sets off the oak bar beautifully. This piece was rescued from a saloon in South Chicago where it was retired from service after a bar-fight left bullet holes in the walls of the tavern. Back bar is 18'8" X 10' X 21" and the front bar is 18' plus the rails X 43" X 28". Excellent restored condition.
