Five TLSs, each one page, ranging in size from 7.25 x 7.25 to 8.5 x 11, dated between 1941 and 1946, all addressed to the Hungarian-born conductor Zoltan Fekete. The first, November 9, 1941, in part: “I shall be interested to see the score some time. Up to March or April this year my program is set. Anyway, if you’ll let me have the score whenever it suits you I shall appreciate it.” The second, January 12, 1942, in part: “I made acquaintance with the Joshua Suite in your transcription. I must, however, frankly confess that I am not able to consider a performance of the work.” Another, April 19, 1942, in part: “I certainly shall be greatly inte-rested to listen to your performance of the Haydn Symphony over the WQXR network.” The fourth, December 18, 1943, in part: “I am leaving today for a vacation and shall not be back before the end of the month.” The final letter, January 23, 1946, in part: “Our problem has been solved. Dr. Dummler and Eugene Goossens gave me the material of Bruckner’s Ninth and thus enabled me to perform it in March.” In overall very good to fine condition.
