Bruce Lee?s leather studded wrist bands. These were hand made to Bruce Lee?s specifications by the props department at Golden Harvest Studios in Hong Kong. These were some publicity shots of Bruce Lee wearing the studded wrist bands taken in 1972. In her memoirs, Bruce Lee?s widow, Linda lee Cadwell, asserts that Lee created the concept for the series, KUNG FUwhich was then stolen by Warner Bros. There is circumstantial evidence for this in a December 8, 1971 television interview that Bruce Lee gave on The Pierre Berton Show. In the interview, Lee stated that he had developed a concept for a television series called The Warrior, meant to star himself, about a martial artist in the American Old West (the same concept as Kung Fu, which aired the following year), but that he was having trouble pitching it to Warner Brothers and Paramount. This is Bruce Lee audition pic for the TV series "Kung Fu" which he came up with. But instead the part went to David Carridine. These important studded belts have been in the possession of Taky Kimura for over forty years and kept perfect condition for the potential museum exhibition that had been planned to open in Seattle. This is the first time these rare Bruce Lee worn items have been offered in auction. We gratefully thank Taky Kimora and David Tadman for authenticating these items as being from Bruce Lee. A letter of Authenticity from Taky Kimura accompanies this piece. Taku Kimura was an instructor; personally certified by Bruce Lee, best man at Bruce Lee?s wedding; and a pallbearer during Bruce Lee?s funeral. Kimura also appeared in eight Bruce Lee documentaries and movies. He is world famous for his everlasting relationship with Bruce Lee and is still helping to teach Bruce lees unforgotten methods.
