Official glossy 10 x 8 black-numbered NASA photo of Bob Crippen holding a mechanical device as Bruce McCandless, seen wearing his suit, and EVA researcher and technician David Schultz look on, signed in black felt tip, "Bruce McCandless II, First man to walk in space untethered, STS 41–B," and in the right border, "David Schultz." Also includes a TLS from Schultz, one page, 8 x 10.5, NASA letterhead, stamp-dated January 28, 1972, in part: "I am enclosing a picture taken of me with Astronauts Bob Crippen and Bruce McCandless during an evaluation of the hand held maneuvering unit. It is a small jet-gun which will be used by the Skylab Astronauts to move around inside the Skylab workshop." In overall fine condition, with some light creasing to the photo.
