Browning special grade 100th centennial 16ga side by side shotgun, with sideplates Anson type action made in collaboration with Lebeau-Courally. Finely engraved in game scenes and signed “C. Baerten”, deluxe checkered walnut stocks with checkered butt, and 27-1/2” barrels. Serial number “008”. The gun remains in fine to near new condition showing no evidence of firing or use, 99% to new with all its original blue and satin finish on action. Case hardening on small parts and interior. Wood is excellent to near mint and shows a soft satin finish. The gun is fitted with automatic ejectors and double triggers and shows an approx. 15” pull from the front of the trigger to the end of the wood butt. Included is a Browning luggage case and original cardboard box. The box is dated 1994 and is serial numbered to match. A small number of unique and fancily ornamented Brownings were made by the factory for their own displays and promotions and factory letter states only approximately 10 units were made and few imported to the U.S. (this may be the only imported example in 16ga). Each was unique unto itself and this is one of that very small number. Est.: $10,000-$20,000
