Browning Grade 1 Superposed Over/Under Shotgun, #89876, 12 ga., 32'' barrel with Broadway vent rib, choked Full/Imp. Mod., 2-3/4'' chambers, blue finish, factory checkered walnut stock with original Browning Trap forend, long tang, square knob, with original Browning brown rubber butt pad. Mfg'd 1961. Original instructions included as well. This shotgun was used by our consignor to tie for 1st Place and 2nd in shoot-off in the 1964 Los Angeles Olympic Trap Tryouts for Tokyo. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97% lightly thinning blue to barrels; receiver shows thinning at balance point and to rear portion of triggerguard tang. Stock with light scuffs and scratches and thinning to varnish at cheek area of comb. Action is crisp, bores are bright. Length of pull: 14-1/2'' to end of pad; 1-3/8'' drop at comb, and 1-3/4'' drop at heel. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
