1) Group of two letters, dated December 1944, detailing the reduction in royalty payments for the .22 caliber Ace model purchased by the Government until the end of the war emergency. The first letter is from M.A. Browning to Colt and the second is Colt interbranch correspondence between C.H. Just and H.C. Bowman. The letter states the payment amount is reduced to $.25 per gun and a similar arrangement had already been made on the .32 caliber automatic pistols. 2) Group of three letters, dated December 1944, and pistol drawing relating to the .380 caliber pistol. The letters detail communication between Browning and Colt to reduce the royalty amount on .380 caliber pistols for the government until the end of the war emergency. The drawing shows the internal workings of the pistol. The letters are between the same individuals as in 1. 3) Group of documents related to Colt patents from the 1930's of a firearm designed by William L. Swartz. The first is a group of ten letters about specific patents. There is also a numbered drawing of the pistol with four pages of information and identification. There is a signed contract by William L. Swartz applying for the patent and selling the rights to the firearm to Colt. Also included is a final official copy of the patent and a handwritten note related to different patents. 4) Bound group of Colt royalty agreements and Colt interbranch letter. The group of agreements is in a bound folder titled "Digest of Royalty Agreements with Browning Brothers Company". The front of the folder has the dates of when the information was compiled and revised. The agreement information goes back from 1896 up until 1931. The Colt letter discusses the receipt of royalties from Fabrique Nationale for Holland relating to certain machine guns.
