Designed by John Moses Browning, a light weight version of the Auto-5. A semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells. Belgium made A5 circa 1960 with the St. Louis barrel address on the left side of the barrel, Belgian proof marks on the left side, and 'Made in Belgium" on the right side. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 27-1/2" ventilation ribbed barrel, bore measures 'full' with a drop-in gauge, steel bead front sight, magazine cut-off, metal trigger guard, smooth slightly curved gold-toned trigger, and checkered cross-bolt manual safety behind the trigger. The hardwood furniture consists of a round knob pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, elaborate 'Authentic Browning' embossed composite butt plate, 14-1/2" length-of-pull, 1-5/8" drop at comb, 2-1/2" drop at heel, and finger grooves above the checkering on the forearm provide a "Prince of Wales" style grip. Shotgun displays limited coverage of floral scrolls and edge designs on the receiver, trigger guard, and tangs. The original blued metal finish is about 95% with minor scratches, and edge wear. The metal has light scattered rust, and no observed metal deformation. Bore is bright and shiny, and the wood furniture is in very good condition with minor scratches and dings, impressions, and some finish loss spots mostly on the shoulder stock. The action is smooth and crisp.
Condition is NRA Good.
