This Johnson and Brothers flow blue plate was made in England about 1830 to 1900. This dish was printed with a design using a cobalt blue coloring. The color flowed from the design to the white body so that the finished piece has a smeared blue design. This plate has a deep dark blue hue as a result. This blue can be seen on the back side also. The making is a Crown with Johnson & Bro. ensignia.
