Extraordinary vintage glossy 47 x 7 photo of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers by Verna Photographers, signed in fountain pen and ballpoint by nearly everyone depicted, including: Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, Carl Furillo, Andy Pafko, George ‘Shotgun’ Shuba, George Pfister, Cookie Lavagetto, Chuck Dressen, Billy Herman, Billy Cox, Clyde King, Carl Erskine, Johnny Rutherford, Clem Labine, Bobby Morgan, Preacher Roe, Ray Moore, Dick Williams, Rube Walker, Ben Wade, Billy Loes, Ken Lehman, Sandy Amoros, Rocky Nelson, Joe Landrum, Ralpha Branca, Joe Black, trainer Doc Wendler, clubhouse attendant 'Senator' John Griffin, traveling secretary Lee Scott, and batboy Charlie 'The Brow' DiGiovanna. Also bears three clubhouse signatures: Jake Pitler, Rocky Bridges, and Tommy Holmes. Impressively matted and framed to an overall size of 52 x 12. In very good to fine condition, with many of the signatures quite light but legible (including Robinson, Reese, Hodges, and Campanella), and several vertical creases, not adversely affecting the overall impressive nature of the image. Led by Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson, and Duke Snider, the high-powered Brooklyn offense scored the most runs in the majors en route to the National League pennant. However, they lost the championship in an exciting seven-game World Series against their crosstown AL rivals, the New York Yankees. A truly outstanding panoramic portrait of a classic Brooklyn Dodgers roster.
