Official Spalding National League (Frick) baseball signed in blue and black ink on the sweet spot and side panels by nine members of the late 1940s Brooklyn Dodgers teams, including: Gil Hodges, Carl Furillo, Jake Pitler, Harry Taylor, Joe Hatten, Frenchy Bordagaray, Bobby Bragan, Gene Hermanski, and Eddie Miksis. Other signers include Brooklyn journalist Edward Zeltner, broadcaster Don Dunphy, and two others, and the ball bears a collector’s date notation of 1949. In very good condition, with a toned coating of shellac, various marks and scuffs affecting some signatures, and spreading to Bordagaray’s signature.
