<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4"><tr><td><em> </em></td></tr><tr> <td width="100%"> Jewelled Bronze Ink Stand with polished dome-shaped Crystal Ink Well, the bottom of which is finished in the hobnail cut crystal pattern. The piece is approximately 4 inches tall and 8 inches diameter. The well sits down in the stand approximately 1/3 inch. The lid of the Ink well is bronze with memory of the applied and engraved design which appears three times around the edge of the stand. These designs are topped with a cabouchon of polished blue-green malachite, I think, although it could be raw emerald or turquoise, though the stone's color seems too deep and rich for turquoise. There are no marks I can find on the piece to indicate time, maker or place of origin. The design has an Eastern feel. I don't know its age but it seems to have some age, at least going back to the early 20th Century. My thoughts are that it could be Russian, Turkish, Persian or even American, made to recall the East. The condition is good overall. There is one chip on the edge of the ink well at the bottom, and a tiny nick or two besides in the edges of the cuts. There is wear marking along the sides of the well where it comes in contact with the stand. None of this can be seen except when the well is out of the stand. The metal shows little wear, a few minor scratches that come with age. The ink stand was bought at an estate auction in Dallas several years ago. </td></tr><tr> <td> </td></tr><tr> <td>Reference #: A1033</td></tr><tr><td>Condition:Good</td></tr><tr><td>Year:c 1920</td></tr><tr><td>Height:4</td></tr><tr><td>Width:8</td></tr><tr><td>Title:Bronze and Crystal Ink Stand</td></tr><tr><td>Location:Dallas, Texas</td></tr></table>
