Of beautiful form and delicate raised details, this Pair of cups represents Han aristocratic art of a high level. Though only 3-1/8" long and 2-1/2" wide with their side handles, they carry me back to that wedding event with an imagination high. The upper surfaces of the original and perfect handles are covered with a lozenge design and the bottom inside of each has a fine fish at its center. Both of the cups, being of rather delicate bronze, were damaged in the tomb and their cracked sides repaired inexpertly. Finding such a sweet pair is nevertheless pure delight, and I am happy to pass them on to a new owner.
