Bhumisparsa Mudra

The bhumisparsa mudra is called the gesture of touching the earth. Usually a seated Buddha shows this gesture. His palm is turned inward and his fingers point towards the earth. With this gesture, Buddha calls on the earth to bear witness to the truth of his words.



Condition: The bronze figure is in fair condition consistent with age. The base is partly filled. It has on the front and the verso production-related casting defects. The height of the bronze measures 21 cm.
