This Buddha figure was crafted from dark patinated bronze and dates back to the 18th century in Thailand. Buddha is depicted on a trapezoidal base in Padmasana with the soles of his feet turned upwards. His right hand is placed over the knee and forms the Bhumisparsa mudra, the gesture of touching the earth. With this gesture, Buddha calls on the earth to bear witness to the truth of his words. His left hand is hereby placed upon his right foot with the open palm facing upwards.

The flowing, chased garment hangs over Buddha left shoulder and leaves the right shoulder uncovered. Prominent wrinkles on his neck, overlong earlobes, and a peaceful expression, are presented in detail, signifying the majesty of the enlightened. His head is also crowned by a distinctive, high ketumala.

The Buddha figure is in good condition with natural patina and slight signs of age and wear. Small nicks and notches are visible her and there. The figure has a height of 14 cm, a width of 7.5 cm and a depth of 4.5 cm.
