Collection of original woodblocks from The Pardoner's Tale by Geoffrey Chaucer. Illustrated in woodblock by Bronislaw M. Bak. 10 of the woodblocks are double sided. Some are enhanced with white paint, some are left black. Each was used in the hand printing of the book included in the lot. The print blocks are 10" by 8" each. This printing is highly unusual, it has all of the print titles typed out and pasted next to each block. We are assuming this is 1 of 20 held back and given to collaborators due to it being found with all the original woodcuts. Institution worthy.
