Note: This particular Mohur stands as a remarkable representative of a distinctive Shahjahan type. It boasts exquisite calligraphy with a three-line design on the obverse, featuring the "Kalima Shahada" in the top two lines, followed by "Mah Ilahi." Enhanced by a graceful floral scroll on both side and a partial dotted border, the coin is very attractive. During the Mughal Empire, instances of using the same identical dies to strike coins in different metals were relatively rare. However, lot number 202 in this auction present a unique testament to such practices, with one coin struck in gold and the other in silver. This adds an intriguing dimension for advanced collectors.
