British military dress sword and leather scabbard approx. 40” overall with a 35” blade in overall good to very good condition. The blade shows etchings on both sides of the blade with traces of bright mercury blue and gold wash in six of the10 etched panels; the guard is cast with a lion’s head pommel, seated lion on the blade guard and pearl grips with a sunbust over crown overlay piece on the right grip; the sheath is of leather and is in very good condition with gold washedmetal throat and tip. The sword also possesses its hanging knot that is in good condition with just a couple of small frays. Est.: $500-$900.
