British late pattern flintlock musket with mount for saber bayonet showing standing Lion on the lock and 1810 date probably made for East India Company in very good plus original condition. The barrel is stamped in block letters “JPR, EXR,249”. The barrel measures 33 ¾” and approximately 69 caliber smoothbore. Showing typical English style brass mounts with sling swivels and side plate secured by two large and one small screw. There is a V notch rear sight originally mountedon the rear of the barrel which matches a post front sight. The barrel retains most of its original brown finish with some minor pitting. The lock shows traces of original case hardening going to gray with all original small parts. Thestock shows just some minor aging and is at least very good plus with slight imperfections.
